If you want a real change vote Liberal Democrat. That is the message from Edinburgh South Liberal Democrat Prospective Parliamentary Candidate Fred Mackintosh.

Commenting on Gordon Brown's speech at Labour's autumn conference, Fred said:

"Listening to the Prime Minister reminds us just how tired and bereft of new thinking the Labour Party under Gordon Brown really is.

"I am calling on local residents with my team two evenings a week at present and from what they tell me Gordon Brown's hotchpotch of the ineffective and the ill-thought ideas will have no impact on the polls.

"Labour has failed a generation of young people, overseen the collapse of the banking system, seen the gap between rich and poor widen and people have had enough.

"Edinburgh South needs a fresh start. With just 405 votes separating Liberal Democrats from Labour in Edinburgh South the only way to be sure of change here is to vote Liberal Democrat."
