Help build the case to save our local post offices, buy completing Fred Mackintosh's post office users survey. Post Office managers are working out which local post offices will close as part of Labour's promised 2,500 post office closures. The public consultation on the closure programme here will start on 21 July 2008. You can help make the case for our local post office network by completing our post office users survey. In Edinburgh enough post offices will be retained to ensure that 95% of the population live within one mile of a post office. Labour have already presided over the closure of post offices at Mayfield, Marchmont Road, Polwarth, Fairmilehead. Gilmerton Dykes and Dalkeith Road, "Post Office officials told us that the wishes of Sub Postmasters will not be considered." said Liberal Democrat campaigner Fred Mackintosh "Labour should be trying to protect and expand the Post Office network not close it down" Follow the link below to complete our on-line survey.
