Evening News Confirms - Tories Can't Win Here

Reporting the news that the third placed Conservatives are to again target the Edinburgh South Constituency, the Edinburgh Evening News headline was "Tories make seat they can't win a key election target".

"The Tories have come third or fourth in every Westminster or Scottish election here since 1999" said local Lib Dem MSP Mike Pringle "Local people know that the general election will be a two horse race between Labour and my colleague Fred Mackintosh for the Liberal Democrats."
