Gordon Mackenzie to be Council Finance Chief

Southside/Newington Liberal Democrat councillor Gordon Mackenzie has been appointed as Executive member for Finance and Resources in the new Liberal Democrat led City Council Administration.

Gordon, who has been Liberal Democrat Finance spokesperson for Edinburgh since 2006, was first elected a councillor for Prestonfield where he lives with is wife and on.

Mike Pringle MSP said "Gordon will make an excellent Convenor of Finance. The outgoing Labour administration have left a terrible mess for the new council and I am sure that Gordon will now set to work to find out the state of our city's finances"
